Comprehensive land-use planning of Dhahran City including survey, mapping and digitization of existing facilities, superstructure and infrastructure as well as the assessment of existing land-use patterns. The study involved the undertaking of traffic surveys and modeling of prevailing networks for both pedestrians and vehicles. In addition, the project included the following:

• Demographic analysis and projection.
• Forecast and modeling of anticipated growth based on alternative development policies and scenarios.
• Allocation of land reservations for future expansion and growth.
• Analytical assessment of prevailing transport network problem locations and proposals for immediate and long-term remedial measures.
